CAN I USE A MICROFINANCE BANK ACCOUNT?

 

The UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires that the money being used as proof of funds be held in certain acceptable ways, among which is the bank. There continues to be fears over if microfinance banks can be used.

The answer is neither a Yes nor a No and this is because several microfinance banks are rated in different categories. Some are local government specific, some are state specific and some operate on a national level. Do your due diligence and ask the bank if they are able to meet up with the criteria listed by the UKVI.
